Before seeking the assistance of an attorney it is imperative that you obtain medical attention for any injuries you sustained.  Be sure to tell your doctor about any pain or sensation that is out of the ordinary as many injuries take time to manifest themselves fully.  That means even if you feel fine you should still get yourself checked by a physician to ensure that any hidden injuries are discovered.  Make sure you keep records of all visits and diagnoses.

The expenses associated with injuries sustained through no fault of your own can be mind boggling.  Medical expenses, personal expenses, lost wages and the pain and suffering associated with your injuries can at times feel overwhelming.  The price of sustaining these injuries are typical, but paying for them on your own is not.  If you believe you have sustained an injury through no fault of your own you are entitled to compensation.

Committed to excellence, MJD Law is dedicated to ethically bringing those who injure others to justice.  Don’t let big corporations push you around, never settle with an insurance company or attorney before speaking to your own attorney and let us give you the opportunity to obtain what is rightfully yours.

What to do in a Vehicular Accident

If you are in an accident, the first thing you should do is stop and call 911.  Driving away from the scene of an accident can have criminal implications.  If the vehicles involved in the accident are in danger of causing more injury to yourself or others, move the vehicles to a safer area, if not, leave them where they are.  Never make any statements about what happened to anyone except the police officer.  This may be difficult in the heat of the moment, but it is vital to limit your conversation with the other driver to exchanging insurance information only.  Last, contact your insurance company as soon as possible.  Delaying to contact them may cause them to deny your claim.
